The view over Sperillen
Welcome to a view of the water and intimacy with the forest!
At the foot of Vikerfjell overlooking the beautiful lake Sperillen, you will find this gem. Here you can dream away while resting the island on the water or let yourself be impressed by the steep rock wall behind you.
The view over Sperillen is about a two-hour drive from Oslo, and the igloo has access by a private road all the way to the front, so here you are off the beaten track while accessibility is easy.
Be aware that our igloos have no electricity or running water. This is a beautiful back to nature experience with the luxury of a hotel room. The wood stove is your heating source, and you’ll have unlimited amount of wood available, so keep it warm!
Sperillen is a lake that stretches around 26 km in length with a maximum depth of 126 metres. In the months when there is no snow, you can walk along a path down to the water where you reach a lovely sandy beach. Perfect for a dip and some water activities.
Vikerfjell can offer several 1,000-metre stops. Good fishing opportunities, miles of ski slopes and a large network of hiking trails. Gyranfisen at 1,127 meters above sea level is a popular hiking destination in both summer and winter with marked hiking trails in the summer and groomed ski slopes in the winter
