Fairytale lake

Once upon a time….
For a while we dreamt of offering an igloo right at the waterfront of a lake in a fairytale forest where you could experience the comfort of a hotel room while connecting with nature.

And then one day our dream came true…

The igloo “Eventyvannet ved Helgeroa” is only a 15-minute drive from the city Larvik. After a short stroll of 3-4 minutes from parking, you arrive at the igloo, which is more or less located on the water! You will get the feeling of floating above the lake while being surrounded by tall tree crowns and a hilly terrain!

With your own lake at your doorstep, you have excellent opportunities for swimming. The lake is deep, so you can jump in straight from shore. During winter, you get an enchanting view, and you have both a bonfire and good chairs available for those crispy cold nights.

Be aware that our igloos have no electricity or running water. This is a beautiful back to nature experience with the luxury of a hotel room. The wood stove is your heating source, and you’ll have unlimited amount of wood available, so keep it warm!

Please note that if you book your stay with accommodation in April, there may be changes in relation to where you will park. This is due to the frost in the ground on the gravel road. It happens a couple of weeks every year in April. In these cases the car must be parked on the host’s farm, and the walk to the igloo on a dirt road will take 20-30 minutes.
